Changan Automobile builds new factory in Thailand

Changan Automobile invested 10 billion Thai baht to build a right-hand-drive electric vehicle production base in the WHA East Coast Industrial Zone in Rayong Province, Thailand. This is Changan's first overseas vehicle manufacturing project. The factory is scheduled to be officially put into production on May 16, 2025, with an initial annual production capacity of 100,000 vehicles, which will be gradually increased to 200,000 vehicles in the future. Changan will also simultaneously establish an Asia-Pacific regional R&D center to focus on the core technology development of right-hand-drive models.
