Nissan Motor CEO Ivan Espinosa said the company needs to resolve internal issues before seeking to cooperate with other companies. He pointed out that Nissan currently has a good cash position, but must act quickly and cannot rely on others. Previously, Nissan's merger plan with Honda failed and former CEO Makoto Uchida was fired. Espinosa is working hard to reverse the company's decline and plans to close seven factories and lay off 20,000 employees to save 500 billion yen in costs.
