BYD recently launched a pure electric passenger car designed specifically for the Japanese market. This model fully complies with Japanese light vehicle specifications, with a body size of less than 3.4 meters, a width of less than 1.48 meters, and a displacement of less than 660cc. The new car adopts a double A-pillar layout, split door handles and a sliding rear door design, and has begun camouflaged road testing. This marks BYD as the first overseas automaker to truly tailor a light vehicle for the Japanese market.
