Panasonic Holdings has adjusted its battery production plan due to the slowdown in global demand for electric vehicles, delaying the construction of a third battery plant in the United States and focusing on the commissioning of a second plant in Kansas. Panasonic originally planned to build a third plant in Oklahoma, but later canceled it. Panasonic aims to expand its annual production capacity of electric vehicle batteries to 200GWh by 2031.
