Malaysia launches national AI infrastructure

Malaysia has become the first country in Southeast Asia to build a full-stack AI ecosystem, leveraging Huawei's Ascend AI chip and open source DeepSeek big model. The project, operated by Malaysian company Skyvast Cloud, will deploy AlterMatic DT250 AI servers equipped with eight Huawei Ascend AI chips. Early adopters of this AI infrastructure include the Malaysian Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Transport, and others.
