Apple plans to make most iPhones sold in the U.S. in India by 2026

Apple CEO Cook said that currently 50% of iPhones in the US market are produced in India, but the remaining 50% still rely on China. If iPhones produced in China are exported to the US, they will face tariffs as high as 34%. Therefore, Apple plans to transfer most of the iPhones exported to the US to India for production.
