U.S. Department of Commerce launches aggressive semiconductor export control measures

The U.S. Department of Commerce recently introduced more radical semiconductor export control measures. The core clause is that "any country or company in the world that uses Huawei's Ascend 910 series chips will be deemed to have violated U.S. export control regulations" and faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of $1 million.
