In fiscal year 2025, Chery Jaguar Land Rover's sales in China fell by 34% to only 34,000 vehicles, resulting in a loss of 14 million pounds for the joint venture. This result reflects the poor market performance of Jaguar Land Rover's domestically produced models. In order to meet this challenge, Jaguar Land Rover plans to stop producing some models in China and focus on the Freelander brand in cooperation with Chery.
