Tesla admits it lags behind Waymo in autonomous driving

Ashok Eluswamy, head of Tesla's autonomous driving division, admitted in an interview that Tesla is a few years behind Waymo in autonomous driving technology. Nevertheless, Eluswamy believes that Tesla's cost advantage will help it achieve rapid scale.
