The rise of VinFast

In April 2025, Vietnam's new car market grew by 19% year-on-year to 34,055 units; the cumulative sales from January to April were 117,768 units, a year-on-year increase of 21.5%. The total sales after including VinFast data were 43,643 units, and VinFast sold 9,588 units in April, accounting for 22% of the market share; the cumulative sales from January to April were 162,459 units, accounting for 27.5%, with VF 5, VF 3 and VF 6 occupying the top three sales.
