BYD Energy Storage signs 3.5GWh energy storage order agreement with Grenergy

BYD Energy Storage has recently signed an energy storage order agreement with Spanish company Grenergy to supply 3.5GWh of energy storage systems for Grenergy's sixth phase of the Atacama Oasis project in northern Chile. The Atacama Oasis project is one of the world's largest electrochemical energy storage projects, spanning multiple locations in the Tarapacá, Antofagasta and Atacama regions in northern Chile. After expansion, the total energy storage capacity of the project has reached 11GWh, with a total investment of US$2.3 billion.
