Autoneum launches new technology to protect electric vehicle batteries

Autoneum, a global automotive parts supplier, has launched a new thermoplastic composite battery protection plate that can improve the safety and endurance of electric vehicles. The component is 40% lighter than traditional metal solutions, has 25% higher impact resistance, and can block heat at 800°C for 30 minutes, effectively reducing the risk of thermal runaway of the battery.
