After the release of Xiaomi's first flagship SoC Xuanjie O1, there has been constant controversy over whether it is customized by Arm. Although Arm's official website once issued a press release stating that Xuanjie O1 is powered by the Arm computing platform, it was later deleted. In fact, "Custom Silicon" in the semiconductor industry refers to "highly customized chips" rather than being completely customized by Arm. Arm only provides IP design authorization and is not involved in specific chip manufacturing. Xiaomi Xuanjie O1 is actually based on the processor IP design provided by Arm, and has undergone a series of customization and optimizations based on Xiaomi's own needs.
