At the groundbreaking ceremony of Hyundai Motor's factory in Saudi Arabia, Chang Jae-hoon, vice chairman of Hyundai Motor Group, said that Saudi Arabia has shown great interest in hydrogen production from petroleum byproducts and fuel cell technology, and the establishment of the factory will meet local needs. In 2024, Hyundai and its sister brand Kia's combined sales in Saudi Arabia will increase from 173,295 vehicles in the previous year to 199,515 vehicles.
