Samsung SDI to carry out large-scale expansion and renovation of its Hungarian factory

Samsung SDI has begun a large-scale expansion and renovation of its Hungarian plant to supply prismatic batteries needed for Hyundai and Kia's electric vehicles in the European market. After successfully raising 1.65 trillion won in funds, the company plans to expand its production facilities, targeting the European electric vehicle market, which is recovering faster, and strive to overcome the current "demand trough" as soon as possible.
