Tesla ramps up hiring to prepare for self-driving taxi service

Tesla plans to launch a driverless ride-hailing service in Austin, Texas, and is hiring a large number of remote operators to monitor the safety of self-driving taxis. The initial deployment will involve about 10 electric vehicles, which may be expanded to 1,000 in the next few months.
