Performance of major European automobile groups in April 2025

In April 2025, the performance of major European automobile groups varied. Volkswagen Group was far ahead with a market share of 26.4%, with sales of 1,176,088 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 4.5%. Stellantis Group had a market share of 15.5% and sales of 691,121 vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 9.6%. Renault Group and BMW Group performed well, with sales of 454,895 and 317,260 vehicles in January-April, respectively, a year-on-year increase of 7.7% and 2.3%. Toyota Group and Mercedes-Benz saw a year-on-year decline in sales. SAIC Group's sales increased by 31.2% year-on-year, while Tesla's sales decreased by 38.8% year-on-year.
