Brazil demands conviction of BYD and three other companies

The prosecutor's office requested the conviction of BYD, Goldsmith Construction Brazil Co., Ltd. and Tecmonta, and made the following compensation demands: payment of 257 million Brazilian reais in collective moral damages; each worker received individual moral damages equivalent to 21 times the contract salary, plus compensation for daily wages during the period of slavery; payment of all due but unpaid contract termination payments; and ensuring that working conditions comply with Brazilian labor protection standards.
