Kjell Gruner, CEO of Volkswagen of America, said Volkswagen is evaluating how much additional costs and prices consumers, dealers, suppliers and the company can bear. He said: "We must protect the rights of consumers while ensuring that the price of the vehicle is within their purchasing power, but it is unsustainable for us to bear this cost unilaterally."
