Samsung SDI and General Motors to build lithium iron phosphate battery production line in Indiana

Samsung SDI and General Motors have reached an agreement to introduce a lithium iron phosphate battery production line for electric vehicles in a joint venture plant in Indiana in 2027. The plant was originally planned to produce only ternary lithium batteries with a nickel content of more than 80%, but now it will produce two types of batteries at the same time.
