BYD's sales in Japan

According to data, foreign automakers account for less than 6% of the Japanese auto market. BYD has been selling cars in Japan since 2013, but as of the first quarter of 2025, it has only delivered 2,221 vehicles. This is not due to insufficient production capacity, but because Japanese consumers are highly loyal to local brands.
