The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) announced that it would suspend the 25% Section 301 tariffs originally scheduled for China for three months. These tariffs cover components containing chips and semiconductors, such as GPUs, motherboards, and solar panels. Previously, the Biden administration extended the exemption period for one year, and the import taxes on these components were originally scheduled to take effect on June 1, 2025. However, the USTR has issued a statement extending the deadline to August 31, 2025.
