STMicroelectronics adjusts global manufacturing layout and plans to lay off 5,000 employees

STMicroelectronics announced more details of its plan to reshape its global manufacturing layout, including investing in future-oriented infrastructure, deploying more artificial intelligence and automation technologies, and plans to lay off 5,000 employees worldwide. Among them, 2,800 employees will be laid off this year, and another 2,000 will leave the company through natural attrition.
