BYD accused of using supply chain financing to cover up debt

Accounting consulting firm GMT Research reported that through delayed payments to suppliers and other related financing operations, BYD's actual net debt was close to 323 billion yuan, far higher than the 27.7 billion yuan shown in its financial report at the end of June 2024.
