After months of discussion and speculation, the merger and reorganization plan of Changan Automobile and Dongfeng Motor finally failed to materialize. The automobile business of China North Industries Group Corporation will operate independently, Changan Automobile will become the new core enterprise, and Dongfeng Motor will not participate in the reorganization.
