Volvo halts production at U.S. plant due to parts shortage

Due to a shortage of parts, Volvo Cars has suspended production at its Ridgeville Assembly Plant in South Carolina, USA. The plant is responsible for producing two electric SUVs, the EX90 and Polestar 3, for the US and global markets. A Volvo spokesman confirmed the suspension but did not disclose the names of the affected parts or when work would resume.
