The UK electric vehicle market

In May, sales of pure electric vehicles in the UK market increased by 26% to 32,738 units, bringing the market share of pure electric vehicles to 21.8% from 17.7% in the same period last year. In May, Chinese brands' share of the UK market reached 9.4%, up from 7.7% in the previous month. BYD was the main driver of this growth, with its sales increasing by 408% to 3035 units. Meanwhile, although MG remained the best-selling Chinese brand in the UK, its sales fell by 8.3% to 6625 units.
