BMW is working with ZF to develop new range-extending systems

BMW is working with ZF to develop a new range-extending system for the next generation X5, X7 and even X3. This system is no longer a simple "emergency power supply", but is deeply integrated with the next generation of cylindrical batteries and software architecture to become a solution to the range anxiety of large-size electric vehicles. Behind this change is the reality that electric vehicles still face physical limitations in the high-end market.
