Volvo Cars launches first multi-functional adaptive seatbelt

Volvo Cars has unveiled a major safety innovation: a new multifunctional adaptive seatbelt, a world first designed to further enhance occupant protection in real traffic conditions. The new seatbelt will be used for the first time in Volvo's next generation of products, starting with the all-electric EX60 model, which will be launched in Mexico in 2026. Thanks to real-time data from the vehicle's advanced sensors, its design can adapt to environmental conditions and the user's personal characteristics.
