Uber and Wayve team up to launch fully autonomous driving pilot project in the UK

On June 10, Uber announced a partnership with self-driving technology company Wayve to launch a pilot project for fully self-driving travel services in the UK. This is the first time that Uber has launched a self-driving service without a safety driver. Uber President Andrew MacDonald said that this partnership will push the company towards its vision of "making self-driving a trustworthy option."
