NVIDIA reportedly commissioned Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron to develop SOCAMM memory modules. Surprisingly, Micron became the first company to receive approval for mass production, surpassing Samsung and SK Hynix. SOCAMM is a type of DRAM connected to the central processing unit (CPU) and is expected to be used in NVIDIA's next-generation AI accelerator "Rubin" next year. Micron has improved memory performance while ensuring low heat generation through an innovative design structure.
