Analysis of domestic power battery installed capacity data in May 2025

From January to May 2025, the installed capacity of domestic power batteries reached 241.3GWh, a year-on-year increase of 50.4%. Among them, the installed capacity of ternary batteries was 44.8GWh, a year-on-year decrease of 12.3%, while the installed capacity of iron-lithium batteries reached 196.5GWh, a year-on-year increase of 79.8%, and the iron-lithium market share reached 81.4%. The installed capacity in May was 57.0GWh, a year-on-year increase of 42.9%, and iron-lithium accounted for 81.6%. The installed capacity of ternary batteries was 10.5GWh, ending 7 consecutive months of negative growth. The year-on-year growth rate of iron-lithium installed capacity was 57.6%, but the growth rate slowed down.
