Micron announces it will stop producing DDR4 memory

Micron has sent letters to customers notifying them that it will stop producing DDR4 and is expected to stop shipping in the next 2 to 3 quarters. Micron's Executive Vice President and Chief Business Officer Sumit Sadana said that DDR4 will continue to be "severely out of stock" and that Micron's DDR4/LPDDR4 DRAM will only be strategically supplied to long-term customers in three major areas.
