American Axle and Scout Motors Enter into Partnership Agreement

American Axle Manufacturing International Holdings Inc. announced that it has signed a cooperation agreement with Scout Motors, a subsidiary of Volkswagen Group, to provide front axle electric drive units and e-Beam rear axles for Scout's upcoming new electric Traveler SUV and Terra pickup truck. These two new models will adopt a non-load-bearing chassis architecture, come standard with a pure electric powertrain system, and can be equipped with an optional gasoline-powered engine. Scout Motors has opened the reservation channel for the two new cars, Traveler and Terra, and it is expected that the first batch of mass-produced models will officially roll off the production line in 2027.
