Toyoda once again questions the environmental friendliness of electric vehicles

Toyota Motor Chairman Akio Toyoda has again stirred controversy with his recent remarks, claiming that electric cars pollute three times more than hybrid cars. He believes that a full switch to electric cars could have a huge impact on the auto industry, potentially costing millions of jobs. Toyoda also pointed out that hybrid cars contribute more to reducing Japan's carbon dioxide emissions than electric cars.
