Lars Moravy, Tesla's vice president of vehicle engineering, recently revealed that the seven-seat version of the Model Y will go into production later in 2025. Although Tesla has launched six-seat and seven-seat configurations in older Model Y models, market feedback has been mixed, with many owners expressing dissatisfaction with the lack of legroom in the third row. Even so, Tesla still plans to launch a new six-seat version of the Model Y, showing its emphasis on the practicality of product space.
