Indonesian auto market sales fall in May

In May 2025, wholesale sales in Indonesia's auto market were 60,613 units, down 14.9% year-on-year. Japanese brands generally saw a decline in sales, while Chinese brands such as BYD and Chery grew against the trend. The Indonesian auto market has been sluggish for several consecutive months, with the total market volume falling to 317,000 units in the first five months, a decrease of 5.4%.
