Chip designer Ambarella is considering options including a sale. The company's shares rose 21% at one point, giving it a market value of about $2.6 billion. People familiar with the matter said Ambarella could attract chip competitors interested in expanding its automotive product portfolio. Some private equity firms may also show interest.
