Samsung Electronics plans to introduce 2nm mass production line equipment in 2026

Samsung Electronics is reportedly considering introducing 2nm mass production line equipment to its wafer fab in Tyler, Texas, in early 2026. The clean room renovation work at the plant was restarted in the second quarter of this year and is expected to be completed by the end of this year. It was originally planned to use a 4nm process, but it was adjusted to 2nm based on market demand.
