Uber may help Kalanick buy Pony.ai's U.S. business

Uber is reportedly in talks with founder Travis Kalanick to support its acquisition of the U.S. subsidiary of Chinese self-driving company Pony.ai. If the deal goes through, Kalanick will lead both Pony.ai and existing company CloudKitchens. Financial details of the deal have not yet been announced. Uber shares rose 3.8% and Pony.ai ADR rose 21% on the news.
