Salesforce acquires cloud data management company Informatica for $8 billion

Salesforce recently announced that it would acquire cloud data management company Informatica in an $8 billion equity transaction to strengthen its AI and data infrastructure capabilities. The acquisition will help Salesforce's AI Agent operate more safely and responsibly in modern enterprises. Informatica was founded in 1993 and has more than 5,000 customers in more than 100 countries.
