BYD's first car rolls off production line at its Brazilian plant

BYD held a ceremony to roll off the first car of its Brazilian passenger car factory in Camacari, Bahia, Brazil, marking a new stage in BYD's globalization strategy. The total investment in the factory is 5.5 billion reais, with a planned production capacity of 150,000 vehicles, and is expected to create 20,000 jobs locally. Since new energy passenger cars entered the Brazilian market in 2021, BYD products have won the favor of more than 130,000 Brazilian families. In the first quarter of this year, BYD's sales in Brazil exceeded 20,000 units, becoming the local new energy vehicle sales champion.
