BYD India electric bus orders progressing smoothly

Recently, there have been rumors that BYD has adopted strict payment conditions for Indian purchases, resulting in the failure to get 1,000 new vehicles. In this regard, BYD officials said that this is a rumor. In fact, in February this year, BYD India signed an order for 2,000 electric bus chassis with its partners, and added more orders based on August 2024. As of January 2025, 2,330 BYD electric buses have been operating in 35 cities in India, with a market share of 24%.
