According to foreign media reports, President Trump considered repealing the Semiconductor Act, but due to strong opposition from congressmen in districts where new investment projects are underway or planned, he finally decided to temporarily retain the bill. The bill provides a 25% facility and equipment investment tax credit for semiconductor companies for facilities that are put into operation after the end of 2022 and for facilities that start construction before the end of 2026.
