ZF is facing huge financial pressure, including declining orders, US tariffs, and shortages of rare earth supplies. The company expects to lose more than 1 billion euros in 2024. To cope with this predicament, ZF is considering selling some businesses, especially the passenger car driveline division. The company hopes to find a partner to avoid selling this part of the business completely, but if it cannot find a suitable partner, it may have to choose to gradually withdraw.
