Ecarx Technology R&D executive Zhang Rongbo resigns

Zhang Rongbo, senior vice president of R&D at Geely's Ecarx Technology, has submitted his resignation, and his future is unknown. He was the chief engineer of Geely Automobile Research Institute, and led the development of Geely's 48V hybrid system, making Geely Borui GE the first model with 48V as standard across the entire series, reducing fuel consumption by 15%. At Ecarx, he was responsible for the development of L2+ intelligent driving solutions.
