India's first semiconductor chip manufacturing plant comes into operation in Gujarat

India's first semiconductor chip manufacturing plant has come into operation in Dholera, Gujarat. The plant was built by Tata Electronics in partnership with Taiwan's Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (PSMC). These chips are used in mobile phones, laptops, cars and many electronic devices.
