Japan's SkyDrive receives 8.3 billion yen in funding

SkyDrive, a Japanese eVTOL company, recently completed a pre-Series D financing of 8.3 billion yen (about 380 million yuan), led by Mitsubishi UFJ Bank and followed by 11 institutions including JR East and JR Kyushu. The funds will be used for airworthiness certification, test infrastructure and route development. SkyDrive aims to achieve commercialization after 2026 and become a key player in Japan's air traffic.
