Panasonic CEO's statement on new Kansas factory

Panasonic Chief Executive Yuki Kusumi said his company is being urged by its main customer, widely believed to be Tesla, to speed up the start-up of its new Kansas factory, as the customer may believe that replacing Chinese batteries with Panasonic's U.S.-made batteries will help it better qualify for a high consumer tax credit for electric vehicles sold in the U.S.
