CATL and BHP Billiton join forces to promote electrification transformation of the global mining industry

CATL and BHP Billiton signed a memorandum of cooperation to promote the electrification transformation of the global mining industry. The two parties will cooperate in the fields of electrification of mining equipment, construction of fast charging infrastructure, energy storage and battery recycling, jointly develop battery solutions for heavy mining equipment and railway locomotives, and implement corresponding fast charging infrastructure to explore the application scenarios of energy storage systems in global mines.
